A Rhizomatic* Romance is a series of intimate, curious talks over a set dinner at Miss Clara Hotel. Each evening, an artist or musician – with that special talents of; sensing the sign of the times, talking directly with/to emotional intelligence and making alternative ways of living – meet with another progressive mind, someone with more research- and theory based knowledge within fields such as social- and democratic development.
It’s 2015 and time for a new era of 2FACED1. To devote one’s life to arts, music, culture or sports, is often synonymous with looking for alternative ways to live, when today’s “grown up society” with its rewarding systems doesn’t look tempting enough. Many of us have the skills to make a soundtrack to an utopia, show a vision of it or even describe this alternative in words, and most important of all, get other people to experience and really feel it. But how do we actually make it happen? How do we take ourselves, our vision and our skills seriously when we are based in a context that count everything in numbers, with no distinction between value and economic value?
The goal with the Rhizomatic Romance talks is is to refill energy levels to be able to keep our stereotypophobia intact, find new alliances, be aware of our different, existing tools and set a collective consciousness – maybe even a base for collective intelligence? If not for a common direction – we all have different backgrounds and different starting points, than at least for carving up the space on each front, making it much bigger as a whole.
